Our Story
Promised Land Family Ministries (PLFM) is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in North Central Florida. Over 25 years ago, God gave John Hall, PLFM Co-founder, a vision to provide youth and their families with educational activities and programs that draw them closer to God through His miraculous creation of agriculture and the great outdoors. PLFM was founded in 2018 and seeks to develop youth into responsible members of society by providing a safe and loving environment, with God’s Word as the foundation.
PLFM seeks to accomplish its mission of strengthening youth and families through a variety of programs for residents of Union and surrounding counties. PLFM’s Farm Life → New Life program gives youth the opportunity to learn about God through different areas of agriculture. The Farm Life → School Life program equips students for success through PLFM’s Backpacks & Blessings event and other educational initiatives. Farm Life → Healthy Life brings together our food pantry, community garden, and health days to promote nourishment and well-being in the community.
Meet the Founders
In 1999, God placed a vision in John’s heart to teach young people about His plan and purpose for their lives. Nearly two decades later, in 2018, that vision came to life when John and his wife, Rebecca, founded Promised Land Family Ministries (PLFM).
John taught agriculture at the middle school, high school, and college levels for almost 15 years, and has served in youth and young adult ministry for over 20 years, leading Bible studies and supporting outreach efforts.
Rebecca shares the same passion for helping the next generation grow in Christ. She teaches children at her church and is actively engaged in community service and educational outreach organizations.
Together, it is their deepest desire to bring as many lives as possible to the Lord. They believe, in doing so, communities will be transformed.
