Our Story
Promised Land Family Ministries (PLFM) is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in North Central Florida. Over 20 years ago, God gave John Hall, PLFM Co-founder, a vision to provide youth and their families with educational activities and programs that draw them closer to God through His miraculous creation of agriculture and the great outdoors. PLFM was founded in 2018 and seeks to develop youth into responsible members of society by providing a safe and loving environment, with God’s Word as the foundation.
PLFM seeks to accomplish its mission of strengthening youth and families through a variety of programs in Union and surrounding counties. PLFM’s Farm Life → New Life program started in 2020 and continues to give youth the opportunity to learn about God through different areas of agriculture. An after school tutoring program, Farm Life → School Life, will be added as soon as PLFM’s Education Facility is built.
Meet the Founders
In 1999, God put a vision in John’s heart to teach youth about His plan and purpose for their lives. In 2018, John founded PLFM with his wife, Rebecca. Both have a heart for youth and realize the need to help them learn and grow in Christ.
John taught agriculture at the middle school, high school and collegiate level for nearly 15 years. He’s been involved in youth and young adults ministry for 20 years, often leading Bible studies and helping with outreach activities.
Rebecca is actively involved in Farm Bureau’s Young, Farmers & Ranchers program and Women’s program. She has volunteered at church since she was a teenager and enjoys mentoring youth in her community.
It is their deepest desire to bring as many lives as possible to the Lord. They believe in doing so, communities will be transformed. John will be using his experience as an educator for the after school and agriculture programs, while Rebecca will be in charge of the equine program.
